Tyrone comes from the Irish word Tír Eoghain meaning the territory of Eoghan, a son of Niall of the Nine Hostages. The Sperrin Mountains pervade the Tyrone scenic view. Benburb Valley Park shows ruins of Benburb Castle and give the opportunity for walks along the River Blackwater. There is a strong existence of O'Neills in County Tyrone.
